Family
There are many opportunities for music ministry involvement at Summit.
And the one pervading feeling you will
get from this involvement is that of family. Whether it be the
worship choirs, vocal team, or the band, the idea of family runs through it all.
Our purpose is to help
people move toward deeper personal and corporate worship,
and to encourage relationships with others, as a family
of musicians.
11:00am Worship
Choir
Involvement in music at Summit starts with the worship choir. The worship choir
exists to lift the Name of Jesus in the
congregational setting, as an outgrowth of each individual's own personal
worship. This choir sings every Sunday in the 11 am
service. It's not
about performance or perfection; it is about a personal worship used to
encourage the congregation in worship. You don't need to have years of experience
or expertise to participate in worship choir...just a heart that longs
to lift up His Name! Rehearsals are held on Wednesday nights at 7 pm in
the choir room in the lower level of the building.
11:00am Vocal Team
The
vocal team is made up of vocalists with a heart for
worship and service. Vocalists minister in Sunday morning and
evening services on a scheduled rotation.
8:30am Worship Choir
Our Traditional Service is
designed to appeal to the worshipper who loves traditional hymn-singing,
combined with some of the anointed music of the new generation of composers.
The Summit Church Singers meet for practice each Sunday morning at 7:45.
If you are interested in ministering with the choir or as an
instrumentalist, please contact Ronna Wyant, Traditional Service Music
Director, at
Office@SummitAG.org Attn: Ronna.
11:00am Worship
Band
The worship band
plays in
the 11 am and 6 pm Sunday
services, with a mid-week rehearsal on Wednesday night. The band
includes keyboard, guitar, percussion, drums, bass, brass, and other
instruments. Players are also on a rotation schedule. If you play an
instrument and would be interested in getting involved, contact
Troy
Austian, Contemporary Service Worship Pastor, at the church.
