Why Small Groups? |
The
purpose of Summit Church is to reach and disciple people for Jesus
Christ. Home small groups are a primary means to personally experience
the purpose, values, and all four strategies of Summit Church.
This more natural, interpersonal context readily lends itself to sharing
the gospel and growing in our faith through relationships. We believe
that small groups are a necessity.

What is a Home Small Group? |
A
small group is a voluntary, intentional gathering of three to twelve
people who meet regularly, in a home, to grow as disciples of Jesus
Christ.
The ideal (but not required) group size of 3-12 people is
encouraged so that everyone can participate and feel part of the group.
We also recognize that closeness can be achieved in groups that are a
little larger. Meeting together regularly is important and creates the
environment for growth. It also results in meaningful friendships for
group members. Growth is important for everyone in the group and
reinforces the goals of discipleship: to become more like Jesus Christ,
and to bring more people to Him.

opportunities for people to bring their friends.
