Royal Family Kids’ Camp (RFKC) is a week long residential summer camp for abused, abandoned and neglected children, aged 7-11 years. It is part of a national faith-based organization whose mission is to provide a week of positive experiences that will help change the direction of the children’s lives. The camp is held during the third week of July at a camp in northern Minnesota.

Children who attend this camp have many special needs and require continual experienced supervision.  In order to provide this level of attention, each camper shares his/her counselor with only one other camper.  This camper to counselor ratio is unique to RFKC.  Most camps have a ratio of 8:1. The RFKC environment is an excellent way to make a lasting positive impression on the children.

RFKC directors use a staff of volunteers from the St. Paul area to operate this annual camp in Minnesota. The volunteer staff undergo extensive training and federal background checks. The camp directors have received extensive training under the supervision of RFKC, Inc. at an approved training facility.

Approximately 30 children and 45 adults attended the 2007 camp. There are many different activities at camp; some of them include woodworking, everybody’s birthday party, photo albums for the kids, fishing and many craft projects at which every child succeeds.

Preparations for the 2008 camp are currently underway. If you are interested in being involved, click on the above links or email SummitRFKC@Summitag.org.
